Eligibility Criteria:

For Flying Branch: Applying candidates must have graduates (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum 60% marks or equivalent and should be passed in Math and Physics at 10+2 level along with BE / B Tech degree from a recognized university or board.

For Technical Branch: Candidates must have scored at least 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level along with four year graduation / integrated post graduation Qualification in Engineering / Technology from a well recognized board or institute.

For Ground Duty Branches:

Administration& Logistics: Candidates must have Graduate Degree (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline with at least 60% marks or equivalent.

Accounts: Appliers should have pursued B. Com. Degree which is a Minimum three year degree course with at least 60% marks or equivalent from a well recognized university.

Education: Candidates must have MBA / MCA or MA / M Sc Degree with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate all paper put together in Post Graduation can apply against AFCAT 2  Exam.

Age Limitation:
For Flying Branch:
Minimum: 20
Maximum: 24 years.

For Technical Branch and Ground Duty Branches:  
Minimum: 20 Years
Maximum: 26 Years

AFCAT Physical Standards:
For Flying (Height and Weight):
Minimum 162.5 cms,
Leg Length: Min – 99 cms, Max – 120 cms.
Thigh Length Max – 64 cms
Sitting Height: Min – 81.5 cms. Max – 96 cms.
For Ground Duty (Technical):
Male aspirants – 157.5 cms
Women aspirants-152 cms
Selection Process: Selection of aspirants will be done on the basis of marks obtained in Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

After qualifying AFCAT and EKT Exam, you need to appear in the following stages:
  • Stage 1- Intelligence Test and Screening Test.
  • Stage 2- Psychological, Group Tests and Interview

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) Exam Pattern:
  • In total, there are 100 questions which applicants have to attempt in 2 hours.
  • AFCAT is an objective type test.
  • Each question will carry 3 marks for correct answers.
  • There is an EKT test for Technical Branch aspirants.
  • Mark will be deducted for each wrong answer attempted by you. So, don’t make wild guess, if you are sure only then attempt that question otherwise you will lose one mark for each wrong answer.
  • Those who qualify exam will be eligible for medical fitness test.
